Starter for Portable applications ( Pstart + Sandboxie )

Requirements :
min ( 5 MeoW portables at the same time ):
- 32 MB RAM for Potables
- 5 MB for MeoW Service
max ( 20 MeoW portables at the same time ) :
- 128 MB RAM
- 5 MB for MeoW service
==> at the same time ( means open at the same time )
==> CPU is not more needed ( testet with C&C 3 Tiberium Wars , runs not slower )
min would be a normal situation , because I think nobody has over 20 applications open at the same time Rolling Eyes
Features :
- portable ( sandbox should be used on one pc , but is possible to use it on different pc )
- Sandbox will save the complete pc
- MeoWs "My documents" , Pstart , host "My documents" , "Desktop" and "Appdata" directory ==> directly writable
- all other will be sandboxed
- all MeoW Portables are created with AutoIT , but save like a thinstalled application
- 2 Icon Themes ( Vista + Crystal [default] ) and IconChanger ( MeoWSystemMeoW ToolsIcon Changer.exe )
Introductions :
- # ... # programs are sandboxed
- start MeoW with "MeoW Ultimate.exe"
- Pstart is not sandboxed ( for thinstalled portables ==> no double virtualize )
- MeoW Portables will search a free sandbox
- Other Portables can be sandboxed via dag and drop into control.exe of Sandboxie ( can open via the systray icon ) and these uses the default sandbox
MeoW Portables :
- are signed with "Designed for MeoW Ultimate"
- Portable.exe starts the program , if no MeoW is open it will start without sandbox , but remember this can kill existing regkeys. Allways start first the MeoW Ultimate service , then the MeoW Portable will search automatical a free sandbox.
- Settings.exe
==> you can configure the saving mechanism
- direct will leave all profile data on host pc , good for daily use of portables ( existing profiles will be backuped )
- dynamical will everytime clean host and backup profile in MeoWs Application data directory
==> you can backup a profile
- means , if you use direct saving and you want to one save a backup to MeoW ( like dynamical )
==> clean host pc ( clean out appdata on host pc, recover backups )
==> clean MeoW ( clean out appdata on MeoW )
Bugs :
- Vista dont like the run start menu command of sandbox , use dag and drop
- no locked-down mode available ( admin needed for sandboxie service )
- kills a existing sandboxie installation
Future :
- better portable handling with automatic system variable settings in the sandbox
- save existing sandboxie installation
- ital , fra and spa as additional languages ( then MeoW can handle with the 5 important languages )
